Canadian National Christian Foundation is a 0-star charity. It has an F in results reporting, meaning it publicly reports very little on its programs. It is not financially transparent. Founded in 2003, Canadian National Christian Foundation (CNCF) operates the CNCF Giving Fund, a donor-advised fund that supports Christian charities. The charity offers families and organizations an affordable and easy alternative to setting up their own private foundation. The charity hopes to “connect [donors’] money with God’s work” through spiritual financial decisions. 

Canadian National Christian Foundation offers various giving options: one-time donations; regular charitable gifts; bequests though a will; retirement plans with CNCF as a beneficiary; Life Insurance with CNCF as an owner; and charitable remainder trusts. 

In F2021, CNCF spent $17.1m in grants to support Christian charities. It reports that for 20 years it has helped people give over $100m to Christian charities.

Canadian National Christian Foundation received $41.0m in donations in F2021. It also received $1.3m in investment income, representing 3% of total revenues. Administrative costs are less than 1% of donations (excluding investment income), and the charity reports no fundraising costs. For every dollar donated, over 99 cents go to CNCF’s programs. This is outside of Ci’s reasonable range for overhead spending. When overhead costs are less than 5%, it is possible that the charity may not be reporting accurately. CNCF’s overhead costs have been outside Ci’s reasonable range since F2015. 

CNCF has reserve funds of $70.8m, which can cover annual grants and program costs for over four years and one month. 

CNCF reported one full-time employee and one part-time employee in F2021.
