About Our Daily Bread:
Our Daily Bread Ministries is a 1-star charity with Low demonstrated impact. The charity received a low results reporting grade and it is not financially transparent. Before you give, read Charity Intelligence's report.
Founded in 1938, Our Daily Bread Ministries (ODB) started with a radio program called Detroit Bible Class. Since then, the charity has expanded its reach to 150 countries. Our Daily Bread Ministries’ mission is “to make the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all.” The charity offers radio and television broadcast, DVD, podcast, book, and website resources to help people practice and develop their faith. ODB reports that it has staff and volunteers in 34 offices working to distribute 60 million resources in 150 countries. Our Daily Bread Ministries Canada is a national denomination of ODB.
ODB Christian University is an online platform where people can access online faith-based courses on 12 topics. ODB’s Discovery House sells faith-based books and other resources. The charity features My Utmost for His Highest (1927), a publication of compiled transcripts of Oswald Chambers during his life of service on missionary trips.
Our Daily Bread states that it distributes 70,000 resources annually to Kenya, 240,000 resources annually to Nigeria, and 56,000 resources annually to South Africa.

Our Daily Bread Ministries Canada received $5.7m in donations in F2021. It also received $435k (7% of revenue) in book sales. Administrative costs are 10% of revenue (excluding investment income) and the charity did not report any fundraising costs. For every dollar donated, 90 cents go to the charity’s programs. This is within Ci’s reasonable range for overhead spending.
