OVERVIEW
About 360°Kids Support Services:
360°kids is a 4-star charity. It is financially transparent and has an above-average results reporting grade and overhead costs within Ci’s reasonable range.
360°kids was founded in 1998 when the Markham Neighbourhood Support Centre and Youth Housing Markham merged. 360°kids provides a variety of services to support homeless youth in York, Ontario. The charity runs four programs: Housing; Education; Health and Well-Being; and Employment. 360°kids does not provide a breakdown of program spending. Charity Intelligence calculates it spent $8.3m on its programs in F2023.
360°kids provides a range of housing programs to address housing needs of youth in York. The charity reports it provided direct housing support to 201 youths in F2023. This amounted to 16,523 bed nights in total. Its HOPE subprogram provides transitional housing and supports for female-identifying survivors of human trafficking. The HOPE program provided housing support to six young women in F2023.
360°kids states that low school participation is a factor for most homeless youth. The charity’s iGrad program provides support to help youth earn their high school diploma. Students registered for iGrad take online courses to fulfill their high school credits. 360°kids also gives money to help students pay for education. It provided $23k to 18 youths in F2023.
360°kids provides a variety of supports to improve the health and well-being of youth in York. The charity provided counseling to 304 youths in F2023. It also facilitated 1,680 life-skills sessions. 360°kids’ LEGIT subprogram assists youth who are involved in gangs or at-risk of gang involvement. LEGIT served 795 youths in F2023.
360°kids offers employment supports to help youth get the skills needed to find and keep jobs. The charity conducted 1,278 pre-employment workshops in F2023. The Every Bite Matters subprogram helps youth pursue a career in the food industry. The charity states that in F2024 it will expand this program with a new training kitchen in Newmarket. In total, 399 youths participated in the charity’s employment programs.
