About Mission Inclusion:

Founded in 1981, Mission Inclusion (officially The Jules and Paul-Emile Leger Foundation) raises funds to finance projects in Quebec, Africa, Asia and Latin America that help people living in hunger and poverty or reduce social exclusion of marginalized people. Mission Inclusion divides its program spending into Canadian and International activities – in F2019, international programs were 72% of program costs and Quebec programs were the remaining 28%.

Mission Inclusion ran 26 international projects which supported a total of 569,000 people in 13 countries in F2019.  In F2019, the charity has been working with Kesho Kenya in Kenya’s Kilifi county in helping children develop knowledge and skills about their own rights. According to the charity, 2,511 people were supported through this initiative.

Mission Inclusion also supported 235,882 people in 11 regions of Quebec. To promote equality, the charity’s pre-employability program helps women immigrants integrate into Quebec society and develop their independence. Since Fall 2019, 30 women have registered and 12 have graduated. Also, the L’ADOberge program provides temporary housing services to troubled teens aged 12 to 17. According to the charity, 2,000 young people have been supported by the program.
