OVERVIEW

About Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters:

Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters is a 2-star charity. It is financially transparent but has a below-average results reporting grade and overhead spending outside of Ci’s reasonable range.

Founded in 1982, the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) is the largest fishing, hunting, and wildlife conservation organization in Canada. Its mission is to be the voice of anglers and hunters and the leader in Ontario's fish and wildlife conservation. OFAH represents over 100,000 members, subscribers, and supporters; and 725 member clubs. Its head office is in Peterborough, ON.

Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters runs many programs that train hunters, advocate for hunters and anglers' rights, and educate youth about hunting and conservation. In F2022, OFAH granted three research awards to university students aiming to improve resource management in fish and wildlife topics. During the same year, the charity supported 11 schools and 209 students from Red Lake to Windsor to run the National Archery in Schools program. It also funded 36 community hatcheries to address operating challenges and help them stock millions of fish into Ontario water.
