Comments added by the Charity:

William Osler Health System Foundation added these comments to the 2018 profile update:

William Osler Health System Foundation (Osler Foundation) believes in being both efficient and effective in meeting its mission to build and foster relationships to raise funds to support William Osler Health System’s (Osler) capital, education and research priorities.

With the support of the community, Osler Foundation has helped fund the building and equipping of Brampton Civic Hospital, opened in 2007. The Foundation is now in the process of raising funds to build the new Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health & Wellness in Brampton, to fund a new four-storey, five-level wing at Etobicoke General Hospital, and to continue to equip Brampton Civic’s much needed programs and services.

Fundraising efforts respect the donor community’s preferred methods of engaging with Osler Foundation, which includes community events. With the funding opportunity that lies ahead, Osler Foundation and its Board of Directors is balancing revenues and expenses with a new focus on significantly building major gift fundraising capacity which will positively impact both efficiency and effectiveness.

Financial Reserves

Osler is in an unprecedented time of growth, requiring a large funding reserve to meet the increased funding requirements at major building milestones.
