About William Osler Health System Foundation:
Founded in 2002, William Osler Health System Foundation (Osler Foundation) raises money for the William Osler Health System. The healthcare group includes Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness, serving over 1.3 million people in one of the fastest-growing areas in Canada. At Etobicoke General Hospital, a four-storey patient tower and seven-storey wellness centre are set to open in late 2018 and early 2019 respectively. The emergency department will double in size and the ICU will grow to four times its current size. A maternal newborn unit will include ten private birthing suites, two operating rooms, and a nursery with ten spaces for newborns who need extra care.
In November 2017, a planned expansion to Peel Memorial Centre was announced. The hospital will be adding 100 beds for rehab and continuing care.

Comments added by the Charity:
William Osler Health System Foundation (Osler Foundation) believes in being both efficient and effective in meeting its mission to build and foster relationships to raise funds to support William Osler Health System’s (Osler) capital, education and research priorities.
With the support of the community, Osler Foundation has helped fund the building and equipping of Brampton Civic Hospital, opened in 2007. The Foundation is now in the process of raising funds to build the new Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health & Wellness in Brampton, to fund a new four-storey, five-level wing at Etobicoke General Hospital, and to continue to equip Brampton Civic’s much needed programs and services.
Fundraising efforts respect the donor community’s preferred methods of engaging with Osler Foundation, which includes community events. With the funding opportunity that lies ahead, Osler Foundation and its Board of Directors is balancing revenues and expenses with a new focus on significantly building major gift fundraising capacity which will positively impact both efficiency and effectiveness.
