About MSC Canada:
MSC Canada is a 2-star rated charity. The charity has a D+ grade in results reporting, meaning it publicly reports little of its programs and results. Before you give, read Charity Intelligence's report.
Founded in 1940, MSC Canada (Mission + Service Connections Canada) supports Christian missionaries with money and donated goods. MSC workers are sent out from their local churches and MSC provides both the church and the workers with logistical and financial support. MSC Canada helps active mission workers in their work but also offers financial assistance for retired mission workers and the education of their children.
In F2021, MSC Canada granted $3.1m to 103 registered charities. Its two largest grant recipients were Royal York Christian Foundation ($1.1m) and Ethnos Canada ($154k).
MSC Canada provides support for over 400 missionaries in Canada and 250 missionaries working internationally. Mission workers introduce people to the Christian faith while undertaking a variety of projects relating to children, disaster relief, and healthcare in low-income communities.
In response to the covid-19 pandemic, MSC Canada distributed over 6,000 face masks to 53 missionary worker units in 23 different countries.
