OVERVIEW

About Mission Inclusion - Cardinal Léger et ses Œuvres:

Founded in 1969, Mission Inclusion (previously called Cardinal Léger et ses Œuvres) aims to reduce poverty through the promotion of sustainable development in communities in Canada and abroad.

It was first established as a subsidy to La Croix d’or, a charity with a mission to help the victims of the Second World War in Europe.

Today, both Mission Inclusion and La Croix d’or operate as part of the Léger Foundation. The Léger Foundation works in 14 regions of Quebec and 11 countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia to improve the well-being of vulnerable and marginalized people. Mission Inclusion received $1.8m from Léger Foundation, per Léger Foundation's T3010 filing.

While Cardinal Léger et ses Œuvres and Léger Foundation are separately registered charities with the CRA, they report sharing a website. Charity Intelligence could not find a section of leger.org that mentions Mission Inclusion, Cardinal Léger et ses Œuvres, or its mission and programs.

According to filings with the Charities Directorate under the previous name Cardinal Léger et ses Œuvres, it reports programs as agriculture (62% of what the charity does), social services (28%), and disaster/war relief (6%). The charity reports most program expenses taking place outside of Canada. The charity does not report any part-time or full-time staff and does not report incurring any expenses related to compensation in its financials.
