About Ecotecture: Centre for Ecological Art & Architecture:
NOTE: The Canada Revenue Agency revoked the charitable status of Ecotecture in December, 2014.
Ecotecture was founded in 2001 as a registered Canadian charity. Since its beginning, the all-volunteer organization has engaged in creative projects designed to engage, educate, and challenge the public on topics of public art, the environment and sustainability. They work on imaginative strategies for education and public discourse. Some of the projects undertaken by Ecotecture are the Vintage Iconic archives project, the Sustainability Forum, the Art City project and the Stratford Workshop.
Ecotecture reports 0% fundraising costs and 0% administrative costs. In F2012 the charity received $49m of donations in the form of art collections for which the charity issued tax receipts; the value of this art is unaudited. The charity has funding reserves of $30k which are sufficient to cover 41% of the annual program costs.
