About University Hospitals Kingston Foundation:
Founded in 2005, University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) raises funds for patient care, equipment, research and teaching at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Providence Care Hospital. In April 2017, Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospital came together to form Kingston Health Sciences Centre. UHKF reports that since 2009, there has been a 50% increase in mental health visits to the emergency department. UHKF reports that both hospital centers provided specialized care to over 500k people in F2018.

Moreover, on April 23, 2017 the new Providence Care Hospital was completed hosting 273 patient beds.
