In F2022, $10.7m of the total amount granted went toward the redevelopment of the new 215-bed Thomson Patient Care Centre that is currently under construction. Construction is set to finish during Summer 2022. 80% of the Thomson Centre's beds will be in private rooms. It will also include a 44-bed adult mental health unit. In F2022, Michael Garron Hospital opened its Child and Youth Emergency Zone. In the first five months of it being open, it treated over 5,700 children and youth.

Equipment - 9%. In F2022, MGHF funded the purchase of four electrosurgical generators, three ultrasound machines, two incubators, a video bronchoscope, and an ENT surgical microscope.
