About Weston King Neighbourhood Centre:

Founded in 1993, Weston King Neighbourhood Centre provides essential support for marginalized and vulnerable people in Toronto. In 2013, Weston King opened the Mount Dennis Neighbourhood Centre. Both locations provide meals, clothing, personal hygiene items, showers, laundry facilities, and more. Additionally, Weston King offers people access to newspapers, local housing lists, telephones, the internet, and more. Weston King partners with Central United Church on Tuesdays to serve up to 80 community meals each week.

Weston King Neighbourhood Centre partners with other charities and organizations to offer housing support, harm reduction services, and in-house services. Housing support includes assistance in finding housing, housing follow-up, and eviction prevention. Harm reduction services promote safe drug use and sexual health, including outreach on local streets and bars. In-house services include needle exchange, employment support, informal counselling, and detox facilities.

In F2021, Weston King Neighbourhood Centre's Housing Connections program processed more than 50 subsidized applications and approved 93% of Special Priority cases. The Housing program had zero Evictions and all past cases have been successfully closed and discharged.
