Founded in 1992 in association with the Canadian cosmetics trade association Cosmetics Alliance Canada, Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) supports confidence, well-being, and self-image for individuals with cancer. LGFB states that cancer causes a loss of identity. It also argues that the healthcare system is inadequate in addressing the psychological impact of cancer.
LGFB’s sole program is its Beauty Workshops. These are conducted both online and in person. Workshops cover skincare, cosmetics, and wigs or hair alternatives. They aim to address the impact of cancer on appearance. In F2023, the charity reported serving 4,850 participants across 530 workshops.
