About Mission Inclusion:

Founded in 1981, Mission Inclusion (officially Jules and Paul-Emile Leger Foundation) supports projects in Quebec and internationally. The charity’s work falls under six fields. Internationally, it takes humanitarian action and supports women’s rights. In Quebec, it supports children’s education, fights against homelessness, supports seniors, and promotes food security. Mission Inclusion spent $8.0m on programs in 2023.
International Programs received 79% ($6.3m) of program spending. Mission Inclusion funds 29 projects around the world. The charity completed its project in Cameroon in 2024. It provided water, sanitation and hygiene, and nutrition to around 300,000 people. It supports the ReSea Project which aims to protect the marine ecosystem in the Western Indian Ocean. The charity runs the ABC Project in Burkina Faso, which has provided 500 biodigesters to civilians. The project trained over 2,700 people in sustainable agricultural practices. Mission Inclusion launched a new project, OLASS-Inclusivo, in Boliva. Its goal is to improve women’s access to health services in communities around La Paz. The charity is working in Haiti to train women on their sexual and reproductive health rights.
Quebec Programs received 21% ($1.7m) of program spending in 2023. Mission Inclusion funds 60 projects in Quebec. The charity runs a program Récits du Centre-Sud that helps unemployed people aged 16 to 30 create documentary stories. Mission Inclusion works with La Piaula, a street outreach organization in Quebec, to help seniors maintain housing and help them access health and social services.
