Founded in 1983, Focus on the Family Canada (FFC) supports Canadian families with Christian resources and counselling. Donation reported to CRA are based on the year they are received whereas Focus on the Family Canada’s audited financial statements defer capital donations to match the depreciation expense. An example of this is in 2010 where the donation amount listed above includes donations toward Focus’ capital campaign but depreciation expenses will extend over many future years.
