OVERVIEW
About Power to Change:
Power to Change is a 2-star charity. It is financially transparent and has a C results reporting grade, which is below average. Its overhead spending is 11%, which is within Ci’s reasonable range. Its reserve funds can cover program costs for nearly six months, which is also within Ci’s reasonable range.
Founded in 1967, Power to Change (PTC) is a religious charity that aims to convert individuals to Christianity and encourage them to know Jesus Christ. PTC reports that most Christians feel lost and ill-equipped in sharing their faith. It also reports that students face academic pressure, loneliness, and ideologies that challenge their identities and core beliefs.
The charity spent $34.3m on its programs in the fiscal year ending June 2024 (F2024). PTC has 11 ministries that each serve a different purpose to help various communities learn about Jesus Christ. This includes connecting with athletes and diplomats, strengthening marriages and families, educating students, addressing business and professional pressures, and supporting people in poverty or dealing with addiction. It conducts many activities such as youth clubs, camps, workshops, and group meetings. PTC also partners with Global Aid Network (GAiN), a Christian International Relief organization. Together with GAiN, PTC aims to spread God’s message to vulnerable communities by working with local churches. The charity does not provide a spending breakdown on its programs.
Charity Intelligence only found data for two of PTC’s ministries: Digital Strategies and Students.
PTC’s Digital Strategies ministry provides digital tools and resources that allow people to connect with a Christian mentor online. As of May 2025, this ministry mentored 39,080 people. The charity had 149,367 Gospel exposures from mentor discussions and its website’s reach.
PTC’s Students ministry aims to give post-secondary students a community to know Jesus Christ. In F2025, PTC involved 2,572 students and ran 52 programs.
The charity engaged 331,675 people with the Gospel across all its ministries, but it did not specify the exact year explicitly.
